Feed Santa’s reindeer in the paddock
Santa’s nine reindeer live in a snowy paddock next to the stable in his village at the North Pole: Dasher, Dancer, Prancer, Vixen, Comet, Cupid, Donner, Blitzen and Rudolph with his glowing red nose. They work hard all year getting ready for Christmas Eve, so they are always happy to see a visitor with a basket of treats.
Choose carrots, apples, oats or lichen from the bar at the bottom. Tap anywhere in the paddock to toss a treat there, or flick your finger upwards to throw it. The reindeer nearest the treat trots over and munches it. Every reindeer has one favourite food. When you find it, they do a happy hop and their name tag turns red with a gold heart. Can you find all nine favourites? Here is a clue: real reindeer in the Arctic love to eat lichen, a soft, frothy plant that grows under the snow.
On a computer, press the space bar to toss a treat, the arrow keys to change food, or the keys 1 to 4. The number of treats you have given and the favourites you have found are kept only on this device. Press See them in the village to visit the reindeer on the live map of Santa’s village, where they trot up to the fence for their carrots.
