Santa's diary:
Toys made so far:
Santa comes to your house at midnight on Christmas Eve, in your own local time. That is the moment Christmas Eve turns into Christmas Day where you live. Santa reaches every home at midnight local time, so the time depends on where you are, not on one single clock.
On the live map, his sleigh flies over your town at midnight where you are. It stays for about twenty minutes. A glowing route shows the way from the North Pole, and a message tells you: "Santa is over YOUR town, go to sleep!"
Santa keeps to the North Pole timetable most of the year, so you may wonder how he finds time for your house. His day starts with porridge at six, and he checks on the elves at eight. At ten at night everyone in the village goes to bed. On Christmas Eve, the midnight visit is planned for the start of Christmas Day.
Your own clock matters too. The live map and the countdown use your time zone, so you can see when midnight comes where you live. Keep the map open on Christmas Eve if you would like to see the sleigh. Ask a grown-up to help you check that your device has the right time.
We cannot promise a time for every street. What we can say is that Santa comes at midnight where you live. Go to sleep early, and wake up on Christmas morning to see what he has left.
Many children worry that Santa will not find their house. The answer is that Santa visits every home at midnight local time, so he has a plan for your town. You do not need to leave the door open or stay awake all night. Just go to bed on time and let the story do the rest. Grown-ups can help by checking the clock on the device and making sure it shows the right time.
